Ashby 20 Road Closures
These are anticipated locations and times and are

subject to confirmation
As in previous years, & following guidance from Leicestershire Police and County Council, vehicles will not be allowed along the side of the road that the runners are on. A one-way operation will be in place for the majority of the race route. Expect some delays and plan accordingly.

Marshals will use their discretion to allow residents in and out, always taking safety of runners and vehicles into account.
You will not be able to use the roads below in the direction specified, but they will be open in the opposite direction. Two short sections will be fully closed for 10 mins.

3-way traffic lights will operate from 09.00 – 13.30 at Gallows Lane/Swepstone Road junction. Stop/Go boards will be used on Heather Main Street to keep it open in BOTH directions.

The official Temporary Traffic Order is until 5pm and roads will close and reopen in sequence to keep the closures to a minimum duration.
Please consider the road closure and plan your journeys accordingly. In particular, please take extra care if turning right across the runners, as inevitably your view may be restricted.

Thank you in anticipation of your co-operation and we apologise for any inconvenience. Please feel free to come and cheer the 1,500 runners on in a race that not only boosts the local economy, but has been voted the best race in the country in March.
