Guiding Principles & Future Focus
The Ashby 20 Road Race, hosted by Ivanhoe Runners, is dedicated to delivering a professionally managed, high-quality running event that inspires athletes of all abilities to achieve their personal bests. Rooted in community spirit, whilst supported by blue chip organisations, the race is organised by runners for runners and powered by passionate volunteers, with the support of the local community.
As a not-for-profit event, we are committed to providing a value for money experience while giving back to local initiatives, and promoting health, well-being, and positive social impact. We also strive to minimise our environmental footprint by promoting sustainable practices that protect our local environment.

Our mission is to celebrate sporting excellence, encourage participation, and create a welcoming environment where every runner feels supported and celebrated.
Our Vision
It is our vision to be recognised as the best volunteer organised 20-mile road race in the country, known for its competitive excellence, exceptional race day experience, and strong ties to the local community. We aim to lead by example by championing sustainability, promoting eco-friendly practices, and reducing the race's environmental impact, whilst attracting partnerships from blue chip companies such as Aldi, our current main sponsors.
We aspire to continue growing as a club driven, not-for-profit event, fostering a spirit of inclusivity, sportsmanship, and personal achievement. Through the dedication of our volunteers and the unwavering support of the community, we aim to leave a lasting positive impact on both participants and the wider region
